Take a look closer at the project
The Seed Project Craft Beer was created to tap into the work and experience of some women who live in the Brazilian Midwest region. Moeda formed a partnership with their association (Assesve, in Portuguese) to cultivate and pick Baru nuts, a native regional chestnut. In the first phase, the female leaders supported the creation of the beer using the baru nut as a raw material. In the second phase, we established a partnership with Dádiva brewery company to increase our production. The objective of this third phase is to expand our business plan – Moeda will set up new partnerships with cooperatives from other parts of Brazil to devise new recipes, get more product certifications and penetrate more markets.
In order to produce a Brown Ale baru craft beer, Cooperval cooperative needs to organize the processing of its raw material, form partnership with a local brewery, design the packaging and label, carry out inspections, and generate sales.
Why this project needs support?
Production of a new batch of Baru Beer that is more attractive to both physical and online markets - which will be done through marketing activities, regularization of product certifications, and forming partnerships in other Brazilian biomes to add new recipes to the brand.
To organize the processing of ingredients, increase the labor force, partnership with a local brewery, sommeliers, packaging, labeling, marketing, and machinery.
This Seed Project fulfils 4 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals: 5, 8, 10 and 12.
